With the balance of arable land system for continuous improvement,It has evolved from the simple balance of numbers to the empHasis on quantity, quality, and ecological "trinity" to protect cultivated land. However, with the continuous development of economic development and urbanization, the construction of cultivated land is still continuing. The contradiction between the protection of cultivated land and the demand for construction land is becoming more and more serious. On the other hand, the resources of reserve arable land are basically depleted, finding new ways to balance up has become an urgent issue to be solved. In this context,by improving the quality of existing farmland in order to ensure food production capacity become one of the feasible ways to achieve food security. This paper takes Kangping County of Shenyang as a case study area.Based on the classification results of agricultural land classification, this paper compares the thresholds of regional restrictions and obtains the adjustment range of each factor. On this basis, the index of the quality improvement potential of cultivated land is determined, and the measures for improving the quality of cultivated land are pointed out.It will provide useful reference for the improvement of the quality of existing cultivated land.Research indicates:(1)Based on the actual situation and the ratio of input to output, the specific location of the most potential plot under each graded factor can be determined based on the seven graded factors selected for the plain cultivated land.Soil organic matter content: The number of plots with the greatest potential is 7,about 0.5 square kilometers, and the adjustment value is 0.3%.Degree of soil salinity: the most potential number of plots have 2,about 0.12 square kilometers.Drainage conditions: There are 1575 lands with basically sound drainage conditions adjusted to account for 76.37 square kilometers.Soil acidity and alkalinity: There are 427 plots with the most potential, about 21.8 square kilometers, which were adjusted from pH 9.1 to pH 9.0.Irrigation water sources: There are 508 lands with the most potential, about 27 square kilometers, which are regulated by using deep groundwater for irrigation with shallow groundwater.Barrier level: There are 203 blocks with the most potential, about 9.1 square kilometers, adjusted from 75 cm to 60 cm.Irrigation guarantee rate: There are 2651 lands that will be adjusted to basically satisfy, about 152.1 square kilometers.Slope farmland selection of the five factors, get a schematic diagram of each factor adjustment.Effective soil thickness: The most potential plots are 20 centimetres in size and 30 centimeters in size, with 1007 plots of about 33.8 square kilometers.Soil organic matter content: The number of plots with the most potential is one,and the content of soil organic matter is adjusted from 0.7% to 1%,about 0.06 square kilometers.Soil acidity and alkalinity: There are 9 sites with the most potential, about 0.63 km2,and the pH is changed from 9.1 to 9.0.TopograpHic slope: There are 2,443 plots of land with a potential of approximately 90.6 square kilometers.Irrigation guarantee rate: The most potential plots were adjusted to substantially satisfy the non-irrigation guarantee rate, with 3041 plots of approximately 119 square kilometers.(2)Based on the evaluation of the cultivated land quality of the county in Kangping County, the study studied the changes of agricultural land and other indices under the four schemes and summarized them accordingly. The magnitude of the change in the index under a single factor is proportional to the weight of the factor. With a combination of multiple factors, the index changes. In the absence of reserve resources,it is a feasible way to achieve the goal of protecting cultivated land by improving the quality of existing cultivated land and ensuring food security. When the quality of arable land is improved,it is not necessary to insist on the improvement of the level. It can also be encouraged to achieve such an index increase.
