This paper introduces the research status and development prospects of straw baler and its core parts in China and abroad.The object of study is D-Knotter used for small square bundling machine,analysis of its composition and working principle and by using model reverse reconstruction technique,the three dimensional modeling of D-Knotter can be carried out and the 3D model is obtained.Based on the kinematics simulation analysis of the D-Knotter by using MSC—Adams,the movement rule of the D-Knotter and its composition mechanism is proved.Set up the test bench for D-Knotter test,through the comparative analysis between the test results and field measured data,the motion time sequence relation of the sub mechanism of the D-Knotter tying process is obtained.Specific research conclusions are as follows.(1)The point cloud data model of D-Knotter and its composition mechanism is obtained by using HandySCAN11417 3D laser scanner produced by Creaform company;Using CATIA V5 to deal with the scanning point cloud data model,get the 3D model of the knotter,which lays the foundation for the simulation of the subsequent knot tying device.(2)Clear the meshing method of D-Knotter device driving gear disc and clip the rope gear worm shaft,taper gear shaft and cut the rope rod;And carry out the analysis of the degree of freedom of the three branches,the results show that the tension between the driving gear and the rope can be guaranteed to be determined.Based on the kinematics simulation analysis of the D-Knotter by using MSC—Adams,when the drive gear wheel speed 90r/min,get the time sequence relation of clip the rope gear worm shaft,taper gear shaft and cut the rope rod.The time for a knotter to work in a cycle is 0.7s,the knotter tying mouth starts to work after the rope tray starts to work 0.04 s,The time used for the rotation of the gear shaft of clip the rope gear worm shaft is 0.15 s,the time used for knot jaw is 0.11 s,at the same time the two axis end of the action.Cut the rope rod in the rope disc after the work of 0.1s began to swing,cut the rope rod swing a back and forth time is 0.22 s.(3)Design and building of D-Knotter tester performance test bench,the test bench comprises a mechanical part and a test part,through the test on the test bench,get the speed characteristic parameter of clip the rope gear worm shaft,taper gear shaft and cut the rope rod and through the comparative between the test results and field measured data,the error is less than 5%,which ensures the accuracy of the data.Through the test bench test parameters and simulation data,get the work sequence of D-Knotter: When the driving gear disk is rotated 174°,the rope reel first s,tarts to clip the rope movement;then,when the driving gear disk is rotated 196°,knot ter begins to work;The driving gear disk is rotated 232°,cut the rope rod began to cut the rope and out of the clasp;The driving gear disk is rotated 252°,the rope reel and Knotted gear stop at the same time;When the driving gear disk is rotated 340°,cut the rope rod stop the action,at this time the D-Knotter complete a bundle of work.
