In the modern society, with the rapid development of modern science and technology, the use of single rotor agricultural aircraft is becoming increasingly wider finding wider and wider application. In the process of social life application, the role of single rotor agricultural aircraft is more and more outstanding, it also play an important role on a country's development of science and technology. The tail drive system is a key part of the single rotor agricultural aircraft. Tail drive system of the transmission process reliability has important influence on the safety of single rotor agricultural aircraft flight. In this paper,we study on two sets of single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system, including the bevel gear tail drive system and synchronous belt tail drive system. Through the theoretical analysis and finite element numerical analysis technology combined with single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system test, Experiment study the key components of single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system on the transmission principle, Bearing type selection, Structure design, key parameters and the transmission. Test is designed to explore the dynamic characteristics of single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system performance, in order to improve the transmission efficiency and the work performance of single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system. The main research content is as follows:(1) the brief introduction to the transmission of single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system, evaluation transmission device of tail drive system on the mechanical principle feasibility. Strength check of synchronous belt, synchronous belt wheel, bevel gears, tail rotor fixed axis, level shaft of Tail drive system for single rotor agricultural aircraft, to provides the basis for selection of single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system key parts. Synchronous belt wheel using materials for 40 steel, which is a kind of high quality carbon structural steel, its elastic modulus is 213.5 GPa, synchronous belt wheel teeth is 19, pulley section diameter is 12.29 mm; Synchronous belt choose MXL type synchronous belt, its pitch is 2.032 mm, teeth 375, pitch line length 762 mm, bandwidth 4.8mm; bevel gears material selection is AISI- 4340 steel,it is 40 crnimo alloy structural steel,precision level 7, number of teeth 25; tail rotor fixed axis and level shaft choose the high quality carbon steel to 45 steel.(2) To bevel gears, synchronous belt wheel and tail rotor fixed axis in different torque under the action of the finite element simulation analysis, torque were 0.025 N.m, 0.035 N.m, 0.045 N.m, Analysis of bevel gears, synchronous belt wheel and the tail rotor fixed axis under different torque in stress, strain and displacement and safety factor. The results show that the effect of torque to single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system has important effects about drive. The greater torque of bevel gears, synchronous belt wheel and the tail rotor fixed axis, the smaller stress and strain,the greater safety factor. But in range of torque to bevel gears, synchronous belt wheel and the tail rotor fixed axis,maximum stress is more than permissible stress of the selected material, bevel gears,synchronous belt wheel and the tail rotor fixed axis material selection meets the requirements.(3) Build the two sets of single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system, including synchronous belt tail drive system and bevel gear transmission system, the two sets of tail drive system experiment about dynamic characteristics. Assume each tail drive system test level of six groups, each group of six test, the output power of the motor is test factors, the tail drive system of the transmission process is normal for the test standard. Test results show that both synchronous belt tail drive system and bevel gear tail drive system in the electrical power output range from 11.1 W to 22.2 W, the two normal tail drive system transmission process is normal. Analysis the tail drive system of the tail rotor fixed axis speed, the tail rotor wind speed, comparison of different tail drive system load ratio, wind speed ratio and dynamic characteristics, synchronous belt tail drive system load ratio is small, bevel gear tail drive system of the wind speed ratio is small, bevel gear tail drive system's dynamic characteristics is comparatively high, the design work of single rotor agricultural aircraft tail drive system improve.
