The parametric design of shearing crop stalk mechanism based on VB and Kinematic Simulation System has an important significance on determining Stem cutting machine's design parameters. When machine designers are designing, designers only need to input the original design parameters to text boxes and click the appropriate command buttons. This application can calculate and display the corresponding results and dynamic graphics. It allows designers in a very short period of time to determine whether the design parameters are reasonable. Then the designers can get reasonable design parameters by adjusting parameters. Lastly, it will provide the original structure parameters for further mechanical design.The parametric design of shearing crop stalk mechanism based on VB and Kinematic Simulation System is by the technical idea of the mechanical designer as a guide. This study is based on gear transmission research. In accordance with the need of mechanism design process, the functional modules of this system are as follows:initial position module, single step motion module, motion module, screen module, cut knife current speed module, cutter speed curve module, image print module, storage module parameters, help module, exit module. This system has 10 modules totally.
