The features of inflorescence differentiation of Vitis vinifera Red Globe(RG)’and ’Calmeria’(CA),’Muscat Kyoho’(MK) were studied under the vine shelter cultivation in the south of Yangtze River. Including the time of inflorescence initiate, the fruitfulness differ from bud position, the relevance between potential fruitfulness and observed fruitfulness as well as the rate of primary bud necrosis.1.Physiology differentiation is more important than morphodifferentiation to regulation. In the latent bud the anlagen opposite of the 4-6th(MK/CA,the RG were5-7th) leaf primordia will developed into inflorescences rather than tendrils. The latent bud more likely to be a leafbud, if the opposite of the 4-6th(MK/CA,the RG were5-7th) leaf primordia fail to produce anlagen.2. Among 1 weeks before flowering the bud began to morphodifferentiation initiate which located on the middle of shoot, but the physiology differentiation 1-2 weeks before bloom was the crucial stage in reproductive development.The basal nodes of RG,MK and CA were less fruitfulness than distal nodes.3. Compared to leafbud the bud with inflorescence had lower GA level and accumulation of soluble protein; the level of IAA were lower in begain of differentiate,then were higher.4. About 1 week after blooming, adopted measures such as girdling, spray mepiquat chloride had no significant avail to latent bud fruitfulness, maybe the crucial time for reproductive regulate have been missed.5. The average rate of primary bud necrosis of RG,MK and CA were 39.74%;9.68% and 13.50%, respectively. RG badly in the inflorescence differentiate and highly in the primary bud necrosis, thus less fruitfulness. As for the potential of inflorescence differentiate fruitfulness the primary bud necrosis more important to fruitfulness.6. The summer fruitfulness /potential fruitfulness and observed fruitfulness decreased successively, MK and CA were feebly, but RG was severely. Fruitfulness decreased of RG main occur after summer, was mainly coursed by primary bud necrosis.7.There were no relevance between cane size and potential fruitfulness of RG as well as MK, but for CA, there were a significantly positive correlation. The rate of primary bud necrosis /the sum of rate of primary bud necrosis and potential fruitfulness had a significantly positive correlation with cane size of RG and CA.
