Study On The Plant Configuration Models Of Maintenance Free Flower Border

Flower border with artistry,ecology,economical efficiency,is suitable for the development trend of ecological landscape construction and the need for saving garden.Therefore,it is very popular in landscape application.The configuration theory,plant selection method and landscape evaluation system of flower border with maintenance free in different habitation was discussed in this paper by using the method of expert interviews,field survey,and AHP,which is lead to form a theoretical system of flower border with maintenance free,and it provides certain theoretical and practical basis for the popularization and application of flower border with maintenance free.The main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)The landscape of flower border in West Lake Park,Hot springs Park,Chating Park was investigated and analyzed in this paper,and the problems in application are found,that is,short ornamental period,unitary application form,and lack of professional maintenance,etc..(2)The definition of maintenance free flower border is first proposed in this paper,that is,on the basis of the local ecological environment and local conditions,the ornamental plants with strong adaptability,single or multiple resistance,spontaneous reproduction ability and less toxicity are selected,and the ornamental plants are then scientifically arranged in accordance with the ecological principle and the method of flower border construction to form a long-term plant community which does not require routine manual maintenance.The key of flower border with maintenance free is how to organize the plants with the same resistance and different ornamental characteristics into a community that can be appreciated for four seasons.(3)Take the adaptability of plants as the foundation,the plant selection system of maintenance free flower border in Fuzhou city was constructed,and the plants can be used in there were screened out.(4)Based on the concept and characteristics of maintenance free flower border,and from the two aspects of sustainability and landscape,the comprehensive evaluation system of flower border with maintenance free was built.(5)Based on the types of flower border with maintenance free,plant ecotype and plant habitats of parks in Fuzhou city,the plant configuration pattern of maintenance free flower border with was summarized.
