The white strain of Auricularia cornea is one of cultivated edible mushrooms which has been found in Fujian province,Sichuan province and Shandong province and other places in China.However,the commercial and agronomic characters of the fruiting body cannot meet market standard.To solve this issue,a new strain with high yield and a new cultivation method are supposed to be developed.The results obtained from this study as follows.The BM11 is selected as the parental strain for multisporous hybridization.By means of isolation,purification and identification on 12 white fruiting body collected from varied regions,6 different strains were isolated by antagonistic test.In these 6 strains,by comparison their biological and agronomic characteristics,M11 can decompose saw dust easily and mycelium extension rate of it is higher than other strains.And the fruiting bodies of BM11 are always white and thin-short-hairs.The study shows that the spore germination of BM11 can peak at 84% under 30?.After inoculated by spore suspension,mycelium start to colonize the bag and antagonistic areas show on it.30 strains which showing different biological and agronomic characteristics with parent strain BM11 were isolated after fruiting.The production yield of BZJ28 is significantly higher than other strains and 22.36% more than BM11.The optimal temperature of mycelium growth of BZJ28 is 28?.Glucose is the optimal carbon source and yeast extract is optimal nitrogen source for culture media.The study shows that the optimal formula for BZJ28 strain is: 20 g glucose,3g yeast extract,2g KH2PO4,1g Mg SO4.This study used 5 different colors of light to illuminate the fruiting bags.The green light group performance higher yield than other groups.However,the harmful insects are also attracted by green light,that causes fruiting bags wasted during middle fruiting stage.Thus fruiting bags grow well without illumination.After experiment cultivation,the BZJ28 has been named as “YU MUER” in Chinese or “Alabaster Wood Ear” in English.It was released by the Jilin and Liaoning edible mushrooms variety approval committee in 2015.This paper also shows a preliminary study of the liquid spawn in “YU MUER”.The result indicated that the optimal formula of the liquid medium is: 20% potato,2% glucose,0.2% peptone,0.3% KH2PO4,0.15% Mg SO4,VB1 0.01%.The mycelium pellets grow well when the inlet pressure is 0.1MPa and inoculating temperature is 28?.This study is also the first test that using hanging method to grow white strain of Auricularia cornea.It shows that the Alabaster Wood Ear is a new strain that is characterized by improved commercial value and stability.
