Aimed at the current status of extensive cultivation and management techniques,frequent soil-borne diseases,serious water and fertilizer waste,low labor efficiency,suitable cultivation patterns of coconut coir for tomato soilless culture were studied in solar greenhouse,to provide theoretical basis for application of coconut coir in tomato soilless culture and establishment of standardized cultivation system of tomato.The main results are as follows:1.The effects of different cultivation methods on growth and yield of tomato were studied by trough planting(L*W*H:800*48*15 cm)and plate planting(L*W*H:100*15*12 cm).Trough planting included two ways:CK-double row cultivation,large row spacing 110cm,small row spacing 30cm,plant spacing 45cm,single stem pruning;T1-single row cultivation,row spacing 140cm,plant spacing 22.5cm,single stem pruning.Plate planting was also set in two ways:T2-double row plate cultivation,large row spacing 80cm,small row spacing 60cm,plant spacing 45cm,single stem pruning;T3-single row plate cultivation,row spacing 140cm,plant spacing 22.5cm,single stem pruning.The results showed that:Compared with double rowtrough planting(CK),plant height,leaf number and leaf area were increased,and shoot weightwas promoted in T1;Stem diameter and root bio-matter rose in T2;Plant growth and dry matter accumulation were promoted in T3.Compared with CK,more fruit number in TI resulted in anincrease of 2.38%in plant yield;However,the plant yield of T2 and T3 decreased by 6.45%and 9.02%respectively,despite of theinsignificant difference among treatments.2.The coconut coir plates(L*W*H:100*20*10 cm)were used to study the effects of row and plant spacing and pruning methods on plant growth,physiological metabolism,fruit yield and qxuality of tomato.Five ltreatments were set:CK-large row spacing 80cm,small spacing 60cm,plant spacing 45cm,single stem pruning;T1-large row spacing 100cm,small row spacing 40cm,plant spacing 45cm,single stem pruning;T2-large row spacing 120cm,small row spacing 20cm,plant spacing 45cm,single stem pruning;T3-row spacing 140cm,spacing 22.5cm,single stem pruning;T4-spacing 140cm,plant spacing 45cm,double stem pruning.The results showed that:With the decrease of small row spacing(CK?T1?T2?T3),plant height and leaf area index increased,but stem diameter and dry(fresh)weight decreased,and flowering time delayed.Compared with CK,the yield of T1 increased by 15.46%,that of T2 and T3 increased by 34.48%and 16.96%,respectively.T2 showed higher weight and good quality of fruits.Compared to T3,plant height and leaf area index decreased,but stem diameter,root length,surface area and voltume increased in T4,which showed more biomass weight,earlier flowering,and increased fruits and plant yield,however,the output per 667 m2 decreased by 14.88%.
