Clinical Study On Xiaoke Bi Tong Capsule Combined With Acupuncture Treatment Of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy With Oxidative Stress Mechanism

Purpose: This research through clinical observation effect of Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule combined with acupuncture on diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)patients with oxidation stress levels(serum levels of superoxide enzyme(SOD)and malondialdehyde(MDA)effects,nerve conduction velocity and impact on clinical efficacy and verify Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule combined with needle thorn and the clinical curative effect of the single use it to treat DPN and verification of anti-oxidation mechanism.Method: The 90 cases have been diagnosed DPN patients,were randomly assigned to three groups,lipoic acid capsule group,Xiaoke Bi Tong Capsule group and acupuncture plus Xiaoke Bi Tong Capsule group three groups,each group with 30 cases in each group.Three groups of patients with the same basic treatment.Three groups were treated with Acupuncture plus oral hypoglycemic Bi Tong Capsule,oral hypoglycemic Bi Tong Capsule and oral lipoic acid capsule treatment.The treatment lasted for 12 weeks.Before and after treatment were observed with nerve conduction velocity and oxidative stress,serum level of superoxide enzyme(SOD)and malondialdehyde(MDA)changes.Result:(1)After treatment,three groups of patients with impaired fasting glucose(FPG),postprandial 2 hours blood glucose(2h PG),glycosylated hemoglobin(Hb A1c),were improved(P < 0.05),Xiaoke Bi Tong Capsule plus acupuncture is better than the other two groups(P < 0.01).The other two groups no detail differences.(2)after treatment,three groups of patients with bilateral peroneal nerve motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV),bilateral sural sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV)were increased(p< 0.05)and Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule combined with acupuncture is superior to the other two groups(P < 0.01).(3)after treatment,three groups of oxidative stress in patients with serum levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD)were increased(P < 0.05),and Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule Combined with acupuncture is better than the other two groups(P < 0.01),the other two groups had no difference.MDA were decreased(P < 0.05),Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule Combined with acupuncture is better than the other two groups(P < 0.01),the other twogroups had no difference.Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule Combined with acupuncture can improve the oxidative stress.(4)after treatment.Three groups of patients with TCM syndrome integral were decreased(P < 0.05)and Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule plus acupuncture improved better than in the other two groups(P < 0.01),Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule group because of lipoic acid capsule group(P < 0.05).Three group total effective rate respectively is the total efficiency of 87%,67%and 60%,respectively,indicating that Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule combined with acupuncture and Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule group curative effect surpasses the lipoic acid capsule group.Conclusion:(1)The Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule Combined with acupuncture and single with Xiaoke Bi Tong Capsule can improve the syndromes of patients with DPN score.(2)The Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule Combined with acupuncture and single Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule can improve the patients with bilateral sural nerve and bilateral peroneal nerve conduction velocity.(3)Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule Combined with acupuncture and single with X Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule can effectively reduce the FPG,2h PG and Hb A1 c.(4)Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule Combined with acupuncture and single Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule can reduce the serum mad,increase the level of SOD,inhibition of oxidative stress.May be one of the mechanism of inhibition of DPN.(5)In the years of research and clinical application,found no adverse reactions associated with the capsule of Xiao Ke Bi Tong Capsule showing its safety.
