Objective: Adopt the method of evidence-based medicine to assess the clinical efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of coronary heart disease angina pectoris with Qi and yin deficiency to provide a scientific basis for the treatment of coronary heart disease with syndrome differentiation of TCM.Methods: Through electronic and manual retrieval,a comprehensive search of clinical research literature in traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of coronary heart disease angina pectoris with Qi and yin deficiency was carried out,and using Manager5.3 Meta- software to complete the data review, analysisquality assessment, data extraction and heterogeneity test.Result: This study included 32 papers and 2798 cases, all of which were of low quality. In the aspect of clinical comprehensive therapeutic effect, the combined effect of OR=3.40,and 95% confidence interval(CI) was [2.67,4.34],P<0.00001, and the results were statistically significant. In the aspect of curative effect of angina pectoris, the combined effect of OR=2.74,and 95% confidence interval(CI) was [2.14,3.51],P<0.00001,and the results were statistically significant. In terms of the improvement of electrocardiogram, the combined effect of OR=2.51, and 95% confidence interval(CI) was [2.00,3.16],P<0.00001,and the results were statistically significant. In terms of the rate of nitrate reduction, the combined effect of OR=2.62,and 95% confidence interval(CI) was [1.60,4.30],P<0.0001,and the results were statistically significant. In the case of triglyceride improvement, the combined effect of WMD=-0.56,and 95% confidence interval(CI) was [-0.90,-0.21],P=0.002<0.05,and the results were statistically significant. In the case of total cholesterol improvement, the combined effect of WMD=-0.48,and 95% confidence interval(CI) was [-0.78,-0.19],P=0.0001<0.05,and the results were statistically significant. In the case of low density lipoprotein, the combined effect of WMD=-0.47,and 95% confidence interval(CI) was [-0.65,-0.29],P<0.00001,and the results were statistically significant. In the case of high density lipoprotein, the combined effect of WMD=0.11,and 95% confidence interval(CI) was [0.00,0.22],P=0.04<0.05,and the results were statistically significant. Conclusion: Traditional Chinese medicine combined with conventional western medicine treatment of angina pectoris of Qi and yin deficiency were better than the simple conventional treatment of Western medicine in the respect of clinical comprehensive therapeutic effect?curative effect of angina pectoris?the effect of electrocardiogram?the rate of nitrate reduction and Blood lipid improvement. However, due to the poor quality of the literature, large possibility of heterogeneity and publication bias, the evidence of the clinical efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of coronary heart disease angina pectoris with Qi and yin deficiency is still not sufficient. In the future the design of clinical trials of Chinese medicine should be more standardized to provide more real and reliable basis for traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of coronary heart disease.
