Objective: The purpose of this study is to discuss the correlation of Cys-c in patients with Carotid artery atherosclerosis, Coronary heart disease and the above two.Object and methods: The patients with Coronary heart disease in our hospital were randomly selected as research objects(n=100, including 55 men and 45 women, the mean age was 66.220±11.968).All objects, conforming to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, examined serum Cys-c, Bilateral carotid artery ultrasound and CAG or CTA et al. All objects divided into four groups according to the result of Bilateral carotid artery ultrasound and coronary artery angiography(CAG) or CT coronary arteries(CTA). The first had 20 normal objects as control group, the second had 25 patients with carotid artery atherosclerosis as research group, the third had 18 patients with coronary heart disease as research group, the forth had 37 patients with carotid artery atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease as research group. Recording the baseline data of all objects, using latex enhanced immune turbidimetry to examine Cys-c, using Philips color doppler ultrasonic diagnostic instrument to examine carotid intima-media thickness(IMT) and recording, using CAG or CTA to get coronary vascular lesions and recording. Using SPSS 20.0 statistical analyzed all data.Result:1.Compared baseline data of all objects, there were no statistically significant differences(P > 0.05).2.Compared the level of serum Cys-c, research group was higher than control group, and the forth group was higher than the third group and the second group, the differences has statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the second and third group(P > 0.05).3.There was a rising trend at the level of Cys-c between the four groups.4.There was a positive correlation between the level of Cys-c and carotid artery atherosclerosis Crouse integral in the second group(r = 0.509 P = 0.009)5.There was a higher positive correlation between the level of Cys-c and carotid artery atherosclerosis Crouse integral in the forth group(r = 0.603 P < 0.001).6.There was a positive correlation between the level of Cys-c and Coronary heart disease(CHD) Gensini score in the third group(r = 0.423 P = 0.008).7.There was a higher positive correlation between the level of Cys-c and Coronary heart disease(CHD) Gensini score in the forth group(r = 0.794 P < 0.001).Conclusion:1.The level of serum Cys-c were all higher in patients who was carotid atherosclerosis ? coronary heart disease or coronary heart disease with carotid atherosclerosis, and there was a rising trend at that.2.In patients with single carotid atherosclerosis and single coronary heart disease, there was a positive correlation among the level of serum Cys-c?the stenosis of carotid atherosclerosis and the stenosis of coronary heart disease. In patients who were coronary heart disease with carotid atherosclerosis, there was a higher positive correlation among the level of serum Cys-c?the stenosis of carotid atherosclerosis and the stenosis of coronary heart disease. All these show that serum Cys-c can be a predictor for atherosclerosis stenosis.3.The level of serum Cys-c in patients who were coronary heart disease with carotid atherosclerosis, was higher than that in patients who was single carotid atherosclerosis or single coronary heart disease; There was indiscriminate at the level of Cys-c between patients with carotid artery atherosclerosis and patients with coronary heart disease. All these show that serum Cys-c can be a predictor for multi-site atherosclerosis stenosis.
