BackgroundThe primary hepatic carcinoma is the common malignant cancers with insidious onset in the world.More than half of Liver cancer is discovered usually in advanced stage. Survival rate is very low and the effect of surgical treatment is poor. Therefore, early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment is very important for patients with hepatic carcinoma.Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is currently the most important tumor marker which widely used in the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC),but there are still some limitations:AFP was negative or low positive in 30 to 40 percent of HPC patients. AFP also increased in acute viral hepatitis, chronic active hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and other non liver cancer disease. So visibly AFP is not a ideal marker for early diagnosis of liver cancer. Therefore, it is a urgent problem to find a reliable, more sensitive and specific marker for liver cancer. With the discovery of new tumor markers, the sensitivity and specificity of GP73 (GP73) are better than AFP, it is expected to become a new marker for early diagnosis of HPC.The article is to investigate the value of GP73 and other related markers (AFP,AFU,CA19-9) in the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma.ObjectiveTo study the value of combined detection of serum Golgi protein 73 (GP73), alpha fetoprotein (AFP), alpha L fucosidase (AFU) and carbohydrate atigen 199 (CA199) in the early diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC).MethodsThe blood samples were collected from the First People'hospital of Jiaozuo city and the Second People'hospital of Jiaozuo city from September 2015 to June 2016. The total serum is 149 cases from PHC and cirrhosis specimens, hepatitis and healthy human serum.149 cases were divided into 4 different groups:PHC patients in experiental group (49 cases), liver cirrhosis and hepatitis patients in the control group (50 cases) and healthy control group (50 cases).PHC patients were not accepted radiofrequency and chemotherapy therapy. The serum of GP73,AFP,AFU and CA199 were collected from PHC,hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and healthy persons.GP73 is tested by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). AFP and CA199 are tested by chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer.AFU is tested by automatic biochemical analyzer.Results1.GP73,AFP,AFU and CA-199 level of PHC group were significantly higher than that of the control groups, the difference between PHC and control groups was statistically significant (p<0.01)2.The sensitivity of GP73 in the diagnosis of PHC is better than AFP.The positive rate of serum GP73 in PHC with negative serum AFP is higher than that of AFP.3.Combined detection of serum GP73, AFP, AFU and CA199 can significantly improve the diagnostic sensitivity of PHC.Conclusion1.The levels of serum GP73, AFP, AFU, CA199 in patients with primary liver cancer were higher than that of liver cirrhosis or healthy control group2.Combined detection of serum GP73,AFP,AFU and CA199 is highly significant for early diagnosis of PHC.
