Objective:To explore the expression and significance of Bad protein in PCa.Methods:A total 48cases of PCa,48 of adjacent tissue of PCa and 21 of PIN were enrolled in this study.Expression of Bad protein was determined by immuno-histochemistry in different prostate tissues. The serum PSA was determened using by chemiluminescencein method in all PCa patients. The correlation among expression of Bad protein and clinicopathological features of PCa,and PSA values were analyzed.Result:.1)The Expression rates of Bad protein were 85.4%,66.7%and 33.3%in the PCa,PIN and adjacent tissues, respectively, there were significant differences(P<0.01).2)The expression rates was 52.1%in Pca interstitial cells.and there was weakly(25%)or negative expression in the BPH interstitial tissues, there were significant difference(P<0.05)between Pca and BPH interstitial tissues.3)The Expression rate of Bad protein was 66.7%in the<7 Gleason scores, and was 92.6%in>7Gleason scores, there were significant differences(P<0.05).4)The Expression rates of Bad protein were 76%,85%and 89%in differrent PSA value(<10ng/ml,10-20ng/ml and>20ng/ml),respectively.There was no significant difference between the groups(all P>0.05)Conclusion:The expression of Bad protein was high in the PCa tissues, and is positively related with the Gleason score.Bad protein may play an significant role in the oncogenesis and development of PCa.
