The Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Perimenopausal Depression By Applying Acupunture On Shu-points Of The Five-organs With Mother-supplementing Child-draining Method

Objective:To evaluate curative effect of acupuncture on shu-points of the five-organs with mother-supplementing child-draining method in treating perimenopausal depression with kidney-asthenia and liver depression in order to provide more effective therapies.Method:60 patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The treatment group was given acupuncture on shu-points of the five-organs with mother-supplementing child-draining method and the control group was given normal acupuncture.Both groups received 6 times of the treatment per week(30min per day).A period of treatment consists of 7 days.4 courses in total.Before and after the course,we use the indicators,which contained the Hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD),Kupperman scoring standard(KMI),to observe the improvement of the patient and to evaluate the clinical efficacy and analyze the results statistically.Results:After four courses,comparing the treatment group and the control group:1.The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group is 90.0%and 80.0%,which indicted that both groups had no significant difference(P<0.05),however,the obvious curative rate in treatment group was compared to that of the control group(P>0.05),which indicted that both groups had a significant improvement both on perimenopausal depression with kidney-asthenia and liver depression and endocrine function but treatment group was superior to control group.2.The two groups of HAMD depression scale and Kupperman were both reduced significantly and statistically before treatment(P<0.05);HAMD depression scale scores after treatment and comparison between Kupperman review group,there is statistical significance,shows that the treatment group in improving the kidney liver depression type perimenopausal symptoms of depression is better than that in control group.3.The comparison of TCM syndrome score before and after treatment of the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05);the score of TCM syndrome in treatment group was reduced before treatment,and the treatment was significantly different(P<0.05).The difference between the treatment group and the control group was significant which indicted that the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the physical symptoms of postmenopausal depression in patients with kidney deficiency.Conclusion:Acupuncture on shu-points of the five-organs with mother-supplementing child-draining method in treating perimenopausal depression with kidney-asthenia and liver depression and normal acupuncture both can improve the level of depression and somatic symptoms of postmenopausal depression but the former is superior to the latter obviously.
