Objective: The levels of plasma adiponectin and Sfrp5 were measured in normal subjects and patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(DM),and to explore the correlation between Sfrp5 and adiponectin and type 2 diabetes mellitus and type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with macrovascular disease.Methods:1.The study included 81 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were admitted to the outpatient department and inpatient department of Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College from November 2015 to –july 2016,aged from 52.15 to 11.91 years old in.The patients were divided into type 2 diabetes group(nMVC)and type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with macrovascular disease group(MVC).The MVC was divided into three subgroups according to the degree of vascular lesions.Another 80 patients were randomly selected as the normal control group(NC group).2.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to determinate the concentration of plasma adiponectin and Sfrp5;at the same time, the indexes of body mass index, fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, triglyceride, cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein were collected.3.SPSS19.0 statistical software was used to analyze all the data, and the data of normal distribution were expressed as the means, and the non normal distribution data were analyzed by log transformation.Variance analysis was used to compare between groups.Correlation analysis using Spearman correlation analysis.Multivariate stepwise regression analysis.Logistic regression analysis of the main factors influencing type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with macrovascular disease. There was significant difference in P<0.05.Result:1.Comparison between groups: the difference sfrp5 level between nMVC,NC and MVC were statistically significant, and decreased gradually(F=34.957,P=0.000);comparison between groups: the difference adiponectin level difference NC,nMVC and MVC were statistically significant, and decreased gradually(F=48.317,P=0.000).2.1.Comparison between groups: the difference sfrp5 level between M1,M2 and M3 were statistically significant, and decreased gradually(F=34.957,P=0.000);comparison between groups: the difference adiponectin level difference M1,M2 and M3 were statistically significant, and decreased gradually(F=48.317,P=0.000).3.The Sfrp5 as the dependent variable,Sfrp5,BMI,TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C,FBG and HbA1 c as independent variables, multivariate linear stepwise regression analysis showed that: LDL-C,Hb A1 c and adiponectin are significant determinants of plasma Sfrp5(R2=0.621,P<0.05).4.Adiponectin as dependent variable,Sfrp5,BMI,TG,TC,HDL-C,P<0.05,LDL-C,FBG,HbA1 c as independent variables, multiple linear stepwise regression showed that Sfrp5,LDL-C and HbA1 c were significant factors of plasma adiponectin(R2=0.614,P<0.05).5.Type 2 diabetes with macrovascular disease as the dependent variable,Sfrp5,BMI,TG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C,FBG,HbA1 c as independent variables, logistic regression analysis showed that Sfrp5,BMI,TG and HDL-C are important factors of macroangiopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.Conclusion:1.The plasma levels of Sfrp5 and adiponectin were associated with obesity, blood glucose, dyslipidemia, macrovascular disease. It may provide some evidence for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia and atherosclerosis. But its mechanism is not very clear,it is necessary to further improve the related basic experiments to explore its mechanism.2.Sfrp5 was positively correlated with adiponectin. It may be because Sfrp5 and adiponectin are secreted by fat cells,so when the function of adipocytes was disordered, two kinds of secretion are abnormal. In addition,sfrp5 and adiponectin may played a synergistic role in the biological function.
