Helicobacter pylori is a kind of microaerophilic bacterium, infecting about fifty percent of the world population.H.pylori is currently an established cause of a variety of gastrointestinal disease, such as chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer and MALT lymphoma, and is intimately associated with gastric carcinoma.H.pylori is classed as a group?I carcinogen by International agency for research on cancer in 1994[1].Eradicating H.pylori can reduce the recurrence rate of it associated diseases especially gastric carcinoma.H.pylori associated diseases have been described as infectious diseases which can transmitted easily from human to human[2-4].A lot of research shows that intrafamilial clustering of H.pylori is common which has close correlation with eradication failure, recurrence and reinfection of H.pylori.Repeating treatment of recurrent and secondary infection may lead to antimicrobial resistance which makes it harder to eradicate. The article reviewed the recent study of mechanism and prevention of intrafamilial clustering of H.pylori. |
