The Role Of Autoantibodies Against Monomeric C-reactive Protein In The Disease Of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Objective To observe the relationship between levels of change of anti-momoner C-reactive protein(anti-mCRP)antibody in systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)and disease activity.Methods Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was applied to determine serum level of anti-mCRP antibody in 30 pateints with SLE.30 patients with other rheumatic diseases,including primary SjOgren syndrome,rheumatoid arthritis,ankylosing spondylitis and osteoarthritis and 30 healthy controls.Serum level of CRP?ESR?FET were evaluated by turbidimetry.Clinical manifestations and laboratory indieators of the patients were all recorded.Results Serum level of anti-m CRP antibody in SLE patients was significantly higher than that in patients with other rheumatic diseases and healthy controls.The diffrence was statistically significant,respectively(t:2.526 and 5.456,respectively,P<0.01).Compared with healthy controls,serum level of anti-m CRP antibody in other rheumatic diseases was higher.The diffrence was statistically significant(t=3.628,P<0.01).In SLE,serum level of anti-mCRP antibody in patients with disease activity of lingt?medium and heavy groups were significantly higher than that in patients with the stable group(P<0.01).The diffrence was statistically significant.With the increase of disease activity,level of anti-mCRP antibody also increased and closely correlated with systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index score in SLE.Erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)in SLE patients with positive anti-m CRP antibody was significantly faster than that in those with negative one(t=2.156,P<0.01).Titer of anti-mCRP antibody closely correlated with ESR(r=0.463,P<0.01).The diffrence was statistically significant.But with CRP?WBC?PLT?C3 and FET,The diffrence was no significant(P>0.05).Conclusions Level of Anti-mCRP antibody closely correlated with ESR and systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index score.Level of Anti-mCRP antibody which closely correlated with disease activity of SLE can be used as a valuable marker in evaluating activity of SLE.
