Objective: Oral Lichen Planus(OLP)is a common chronic disease of the oral mucosa,the pathogenesis of the disease is not clear,at pres ent a lot of research suggests that OLP may be related to mental factor s(such as tension,anxiety,depression),immune,endocrine factors,infec tion factors,microcirculation disorder,lack of trace elements and system ic diseases(such as diabetes,hypertension,digestive function disorder)a nd other factors.because of its potential for cancer,WHO identified OL P as a precancerous condition.In recent years at home and abroad,found that the clinical pathological diagnosis of OLP canceration is incr easing,the canceration rate can be as high as 6.25%.More and more r esearch will explore the mechanism of OLP canceration as the focus,in cluding the effect of external stimulus,mediated inflammatory reaction,r elated gene research.That research made certain progress.In recent year s,the domestic and foreign research shows that FGF19 and FGFR4 in t he pathogenesis,invasion,metastasis and prognosis of patients with tum ors plays a significant role,many studies have confirmed that FGF19 an d FGFR4 of malignant gastric cancer,breast cancer and esophageal carc inoma have high expression.In order to investigate the mechanism of O LP canceration and the relationship between FGF19 and FGFR4 and OL P canceration.This experiment by the immunohistochemical method to d etect the expressiment of FGF19 and FGFR4 in normal oral mucosa,O LP and OLP canceration tissue,further explore FGF19 and FGFR4 relev ance in OLP canceration.Methods: In this research,screening 30 cases of OLP wax block,8cases of oral squamous cell carcinoma tissue wax block(OLP canceratio n),30 cases of normal mucosa tissues,to detect the espresstion ofFGF19 and FGFR4 in these tissue by using immunohistochemical method.Im munohistochemical staining positive performance for the cytoplasm and cell membrane in yellow or brownish yellow dye.The proportion of cel ls and staining intensity were calculated by the amount of expression,to compare the FGF19 and FGFR4 of the two factors in different tissues by semi quantitative integral method,the results were analyzed by statist ical methods,and compare the difference.Results:1 The results of immunohistochemical staining showed that the posi tive expression of FGF19 and FGFR4 was cytoplasmic yellow staining.2 FGF19 was negative in 24 cases of 30 cases normal oral mucosa(80%),and the other 6 cases(80%)showed weak positive expression;In OLP tissues,FGF19 was mainly expressed in the T lymphocyte infiltrati on zone,1 cases(3%)were weakly positive expression,and 29 cases(97%)were moderate positive expression;FGF19 in OLP squamous cellcarcinoma mainly expressed in cancer nests,2 cases(25%)with moder ate positive expression,6 cases(75%)strong positive expression.Theref ore,the expression of FGF19 in OLP and OLP related squamous carcin oma tissues higher than in normal mucosa tissues,The expression in OLP related squamouscarcinoma tissues is higher than in OLP tissues,t here were statistically significant differences.3 FGFR4 was negative in 18 cases(60%)of 30 cases normal oral mucosa(80%),and the other 12 cases(40%)showed weak positive exp ression;In OLP tissues,FGFR4 was mainly expressed in the T lymphoc yte infiltration zone,6 cases(20%)were weakly positive expression,an d 24 cases(80%)were moderate positive expression;FGFR4 in OLP sq uamous cell carcinoma mainly expressed in cancer nests,8 cases(100%)were strong positive expression.The expression of FGFR4 in OLP and OLP related squamous carcinoma tissues higher than in normal mucosa tissues,The expression in OLP related squamouscarcinoma tissues is hig her than in OLP tissues,there were statistically significant differences.Conclusion: The expression of FGF19 and FGFR4 in Oral Lichen Planus s and Oral Lichen Planus related squamous carcinoma tissues wa s significantly higher than that in normal mucosa,FGF19 and FGFR4 may be associated with the occurrence,development and carcinogenesis of OLP,it is expected to become the early detection of biological mark ers in the carcinogenesis of OLP.
