Objective To investigate the differential diagnosis value of benign and malignant renal masses with contrast-enhanced ultrasound.Method A total of 67 cases of renal lesions were referred between June 2015 and November 2016 with preoperative conventional ultrasound,to observate location, size, border, shape, internal echo intensity and uniformity, blood flow to make a qualitative diagnostic of renal tumors. And then undergo an contrast-enhanced altrasound,we observed the beginning of contrast agent enhancement, the peak and the dissipation as a whole, combined with Sono Liver angiography analysis software derived quantitative parameters, including intensity maximum(IMAX),rising time(RT),time to peak(TTP),and mean transit time(m TT),after qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine the nature of renal tumors, and compared with the results of enhanced CT qualitative diagnosis. To the pathological results of the gold standard, analysis of contrast enhancement features of renal benign and malignant tumors. Results In the 47 malignant tumors, most of the 38 renal malignant tumors presented fast/with washed-in(38/47),the solid part is hyper-enhanced(33/47),uneven enhanced. In the 16 solid benign tumors, most of slow washed-in(11/16),hypo-enhanced(12/10),and even enhanced(14/16),so the difference of enhancement patterns, enhancement intensity and enhancement uniformity between malignant and benign tumors had statistically significant(p<0.01).Renal malignant lesions IMAX higher than the normal renal cortex,RT,TTP and m TT were earlier than the normal renal cortex, the differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).Renal malignant lesions of IMAX higher than benign lesions,RT and m TT were earlier than benign lesions, the differences were statistically significant(p<0.05).The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy diagnostic rate of contrast-enhanced ultrasound were 91.5%,75.0% and 86.6% respectively, enhanced CT were respectively 93.6%,80.0%,86.6%.Conclusion Contrast enhancement patterns, enhancement intensity,Enhancement uniformity in renal tumors can provide a basis for indentifying benign and malignant tumors. The contrast-enhanced ultrasound combined with quantitative analysis software is helpful to the diagnosis and identification of renal masses, for the clinical provided a useful reference value.
