Cefepime as the cloth Bristol-Myers Squibb?BMS?develop new fourth-generation cephalosporins.Its wide antimicrobial spectrum,for most gram-positive bacteria and gram-negative bacteria have antibacterial activity,especially for production type ? beta lactamase gram-negative bacilli have strong antibacterial activity.With its antibacterial action mechanisms for bacterial cells combined with proteins?PBPs?one or more of the penicillin,influence the synthesis and metabolism of bacterial cell walls,and antibacterial effect.At present there are mainly the determination methods of cefepime high performance liquid chromatography,ion exchange chromatography,fluorescence method,spectrophotometry and so on,using flow injection chemiluminescence determination of cefepime literature have not been reported.In this study,Cefepime was found to enhance the chemiluminescence?CL?of the luminol-potassium ferricyanide reaction system in alkaline condition.According to this fact,a flow injection chemiluminescence enhencement method for the determination of Cefepime was developed.Under the optimum conditions,the linear range for Cefepime was 3.0×10-6 4.0×10-5g/m L,and the limit of detection was 2.8×10-6g/m L.The relative standard deviation was 1.5 % for the determination of 2.0×10-5g/m L Cefepime?n=11?.The sensitive method has been applied to the determination of Cefepime injection,the result is satisfactory.
