Clinical Observation Of Xiaoyao San In The Treatment Of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis With Liver Depression And Spleen Deficiency

Objective:Through the clinical observation of Xiaoyao San in the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis,such as the clinical symptoms,thyroid hormone level and thyroid-associated antibodies levels,to explore the mechanism and advantages of Xiaoyao San treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.Methods:This clinical observation collected 64 target patients that Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and hypothyroidism who have a liver stagnation and spleen deficiency syndrome,They were randomly divided into 2 equal number(32/32)groups by completely random design.The control group was only given Euthyrox with 12.5-150 ug,once a day;the treatment group,on the basic the control group,also took Xiaoyao San two times a day,and 30 days is a course of treatment.Three months later,we compared two groups in the total effective rate,TCM symptom score,Thyroid hormone(TSH,FT3,FT4)level,thyroid antibodies(TPOAb,Tg Ab)level and adverse drug reaction,to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Xiaoyao San in the treatment of the disease.Results:The average age of the treatment group in this observation was47.16 ± 11.76 years,and the control group is 50.29 ± 10.74 years.There was no statistical difference in the distribution of sex,disease duration,average age and age group between the two groups before the treatment.After 3 courses of treatment,the total effective rate of treatment group is 90.32%,the control group is70.97%,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The total TCM symptom score of the two groups were decreased compared with that before treatment,but the treatment group had a more significant effect on the improvement of fatigue and fear of cold symptoms(P <0.05).Both groups were able to restore normal thyroid function,and there was no statistical differencee between two groups(P >0.05).After treatment,the level of thyroid antibodies in both groups decreased significantly(P <0.05),but the decrease in the treatment group was more significant(P <0.05).During the whole treatment,there was no obvious untoward effect,and basic vital signs,blood,urine,faecal routine,liver function,renal function and electrocardiogram were in normal range.Conclusion:Our research result showed that in treating Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and hypothyroidism,the Xiaoyao San can significantly improve fatigue and weakness,fear of cold,reduce the levels of thyroid antibodies,delay the progression of the disease.and no obvious side effects during treatment,so it is worth popularizing in clinical.
