BackgroundType 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy is one of the most common diabetic complications in clinical practice. If not treated promptly,it can increase the risk of diabetic foot and increase the risk of amputation;if the infection aggravates, the formation of sepsis, septicaemia can also lead to death, and the life and life of the patient has a serious impact. Therefore, early treatment is very important for preventing or delaying the progress of the disease. At present, the treatment of type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy is mainly caused by oxidative stress and vegetative nerve. But the clinical effect is not satisfactory. In order to find a safe and effective drug for the treatment of type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy,we designed and completed the study.ObjectiveTo explore the effect of supplementing qi and nourishing yin, huayutongluo decoction on the treatment of type 2 diabetic peripheral neuropathy(Qi Yin deficiency and blood stasis)and the influence on the conduction velocity of peripheral nerve, improvement of the quality of life and safety.Methods60 patients with type 2 diabetes complicated with peripheral neuropathy(Qi and yin deficiency and blood stasis)were selected and randomly divided into observation group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases). The two groups of patients were given diabetes health education and hypoglycemic treatment. The control group was treated plus with Mecobalamin Tablets. The observation group was treated with supplementing qi and nourishing yin, huayutongluo decoction on the basis of the control group. The two groups were treated for 12 weeks. The scores of TCM syndrome, blood lipid metabolism,FBG(fasting blood sugar),Hb Al C(glycated hemoglobin),2h PG(2 hours postprandial blood sugar),nerve conduction velocity, quality of life and total efficiency were observed.ResultsThere was no significant change in the two groups after treatment with FBG,2h PG or Hb Al C(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the comparison between the two groups after treatment with FBG,2h PG and Hb Al C(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in HDL between the control group and that before treatment(P>0.05).The control group's TG,CHO and LDL had no significant improvement compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).The TG,CHO,HDL and LDL of the observation group were significantly different from those before treatment(P<0.05).Two groups of TG,CHO,HDL and LDL after treatment, the observation group were better than the control group(P<0.05).The curative effect of the two groups of TCM syndromes was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The two groups of Chinese medicine scores were significantly improved after treatment compared with those before treatment(P<0.05).The two groups of Chinese medicine scores after treatment, the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).The conduction velocity of median nerve and peroneal nerve in the two groups was significantly improved after treatment compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).The conduction velocity of median nerve and peroneal nerve in the two groups were compared in the after treatment, and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).The curative effect of the two groups were compared in the after treatment, and the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life of the two groups was statistically significant after treatment compared with that before treatment(P<0.05).The quality of life of the two groups were compared in the after treatment, and the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).ConclusionSupplementing qi and nourishing yin, huayutongluo decoction in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and peripheral neuropathy can improve the level of blood lipid, relieve symptoms, improve the symptom score of TCM,improve the conduction velocity of the peroneal nerve and median nerve, improve the quality of life, and have no adverse reaction and high safety.
