Plight And Reflection Of Art Museum Education

Museum is not only an important place for all kinds of Collections,Education and Exhibitions,but also center of Academic Research,Cultural Exchange and Political Activity.With the development of human civilization,the function of museum turns education from collection and storage,while there are debates about art education in different art museums.Art museum is a combination of "art" and "museum",the museum is an entity,but the works of art inside contain intrinsic aesthetic value.This paper elaborate the problems and difficulties of art museum education in three aspects.First,the art museum education appears the phenomenon of excessive entertainment,the magnificent palace appearance of art museum and rigid space design makes people fear and generate "museum fatigue",even not want to stay longer in the art museum.As realizing the situation,art museum attempt to attract visitors by super special exhibitions and entertainment activities,which make influence of art education.Secondly,art museum education is unequal as selective,the knowledge and information received from art museum is different between the elite and general people,current art museum education mostly accord to the aesthetic taste and artistic ability of elite,this environment emphasize the origin inequality but not weaken it,how to enable art museum education to integrate into our national education system is quite a problem.Finally,there is a direct relationship between the quality of art museum exhibitions and art museum education,while the subjective will of exhibition curator and regulatory agencies plays a vital influence on the exhibition,which is subject to various restrictions,then the information received by general people is decided by so-called art elite.Seemingly,the democratic institutions look equal,but there is equality and contradiction between elite and general culture hiding behind.
