This report aims at discussing difficulties and strategies in translation process of English informative texts through analyzing text types and associating translation practice of the European Parliament.Generally, the report contains two parts. The first part is a report of translation practice, which includes introduction, text analysis, process description, difficulties and solutions and conclusion. The second part is the achievement of translation practice, including source text and the translated text of the project.Chapter one is an introduction of the translation material. It mainly introduces project background, translation purpose and translation significance. Chapter two analyzes the text type and features of the project. Chapter three mainly introduces the pre-preparation and checking process of the translation practice. Chapter four contains two parts, difficulties and solutions. The author will analyze solutions by associating difficulties. Chapter five summarizes the whole text, weakness of the author and some problems which are not solved in the translation practice.
