This article is a practice report based on the internship of the author who attended the program of Chinese Bridge American High School Summer Camp. During the 20 odd days' program, the author led and guided more than 20 high school students to visit the tourist destinations in and around Changsha city, such as the Yuelu Academy, Mawangdui Tomb Exhibition Hall, and Tongguan Kiln, places with historical interests and attractions. Besides, the author acted as the leader of Hunan-1 when they visited the headquarter of Hanban in Beijing. During their whole stay, the author shouldered the responsibility of tour guidance and liaison interpretation, coupled with accommodation and catering arrangement. The project of "Chinese Bridge American High School Students Summer Camp" was organized annually in summer to provide the American high school students with the opportunity of experiencing the Chinese civilization and culture in person, so as to stimulate their enthusiasm to learn Chinese and know about China. Since 2007, a total of 3500 American students has been invited to come to China. In the summer of 2014, different groups of American high school students from different states of America visited China. The students from San Francisco High School chose to visit the capital city, Changsha and Hunan University held the responsibility of arranging the accommodation, catering and tour visiting for the students during their stay in Changsha province. Students were divided into three teams, and several graduate students from Hunan University, including the author, acted as their team leaders and interpreters when they visited the scenic spots in Changsha. In this report, the author made in-depth analysis on the errors and imperfections made during translation, under the guidance of several theories, including linearity, short-term memory learned in the consecutive classes and the experimental theories carried out by Denial Gile on the criteria of Interpretation Assessment. By doing this, the author hopes to provide theoretical guidance for professional training and interpreting practices in the future. After the conclusion in this report, the main factors contributing to the errors made by the author are inadequate working language, insufficient interpreting skill and insufficient specialized and general knowledge. The author hopes that after the analysis and conclusion in this report, the interpreting skill and capability of the author can be improved.
