This paper is based on the interpreting practice in the "Chinese Bridge" Summer Camp Program for American High School students in July 2017.The author led American high school students from four different states to visit the iconic tourist attractions with cultural heritage of Harbin.During this period,the author was responsible for escort interpretation work,as well as consecutive interpreting work in calligraphy and painting classes.In this practice report,based on this practice task,the author mainly discusses the practical problems encountered in the process of interpretation,analyzes the cases and puts forward the corresponding solutions.This practice report is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction of interpretation task,including the introduction of the project,the introduction and description of the client and the specific interpretation task.The second chapter is the specific description of the interpretation task.The author divides the chapter into three parts: pre-interpretation preparation,interpretation task process,post-interpretation evaluation and reflection.It clarifies the specific work done by the author at different stages of the interpretation task.It also highlights the analysis of different audience groups and unexpected situations in the process of interpretation.Chapter Three is the core of this practice report.The author discusses the interpretation problems related to calligraphy and painting information in this interpretation practice.The paper summarizes and analyzes the three kinds of terms in the interpretation of calligraphy and painting information,which are information of terms without counterparts,Chinese four-character and culture-loaded words,respectively,and analyzes the problems in the cases and the reasons for the problems.Chapter Four is a summary of the task.The author reflects on comprehensive competence required as an interpreter and puts up with advice on improvement on the lack of relevant abilities in the interpretation practice tasks in the future.
