In this paper, the writer focuses on the study of the area of the upper Min River with the clue of its historical development. The writer combs and analyses the historical documents and the archeological materials of the Neoliths, the periods of Xia?Shang?Zhou Dynasties and Spring?Autumn Period to discover the historical development and the cultural features in this area.Based on the combing and analyzing work, we can discover the cultural relations between the upper –Min River and Gansu?Qinghai, the central Plain, even the northern grasslands. Furthermore, we can also find the features of such cultural fusing and the deep causes of this fusing process. This also can be read as the history of these areas during the periods of Pre?Qin Dynasty.So come the conclusions of this paper, the cultural fusing processes among these areas has the periodical characters. That is, with the time passing, the cultural exchanging became more and more and the exchanging fields were wider and wider. From this, we can also find many ancient cultural exchanging roads.
