Verb is an important category in Chinese parts of speech, researches in verb has been achieved fruitful results. It's a good point of view to study verbs from the contact aspect according to the different semantics of the objects following the verbs. The article, from the aspect of contact, adds up to the 209 modern Chinese second contact Patient object and Place object verbs from the "Chinese Verbs Usage Dictionary"?1999 edition?, which will be used as the main research objects as well as the grammatical theories of semantics and sentence structures, together with a variety of research methods to systematically and deeply study the patient objects and second contact place objects.The article mainly consists of the following four parts:Chapter one is the introduction. It mainly introduces the significance of the topic, current research situation, corpus sources, research methods and innovative points.Chapter two is the overview of the second contact Patient object and Place object verbs. Firstly, the portion aims to define the two objects and discuss relavant forms standard as well as their semantic features. Secondly, the portion tries to overview the two objects and define them from the aspect of semantics. Then classify the 209 second contact Patient object and Place object verbs in the end of chapter two.Chapter three is the semantic analysis of the second contact Patient object and Place object verbs, which will study the semantic classification and semantic features. The second contact Patient object and Place object verbs can be divided into mental activity and physical activity according to their meaning, the physical activity even can be divided into displacement, contaction, concern categories and discuss their forms respectively to ensure the correspondence between the semantic meaning and the forms. Each verb also has its further classification. Finally, this article also analyzes the semantic features of the second contact Patient object and Place object verbs and get the result: [ +strong action ][+ disposition][ + persisitence][-completion].Chapter four is syntax analysis of the second contact Patient object and Place object verbs,which includes basic sentence structure,changing sentence,special sentence and stretched pattern,among which all the second contact object verbs can meet the basic sentence structure“S+V+O??”“S+V+O??”;as to the aspect of pattern conversion,some verbs can be applied to the sentence pattern with“?”and the sentence pattern with“?”as well as“S+V+?/?+O???+?/??”“S+?/?/?+O???+?/??+V/V??/V+??”together with“?+O??+V+O??”“?+O??+V+?+O??”.Special patterns contain existential sentence,which refers to the setence structures the second contact Patient object and Place object verbs can be applied to,such as“NP1+V+?/?+NP2”“NP1+VP1+NP2+VP2”“NP1+VP1+VP2?+NP2?”“NP1+VP1+NP2+VP2?+NP3?”;The streched forms of this chapter mainly discuss the complements of the second contact object verbs?quantity,result,tendency,preposition?and dynamic auxiliary“?????”,which mainly aims to study the combination between the second contact Patient object and Place object verbs and the noun as well as the nominal composition.The epilogue part summarizes the whole text and points out the shortages and places needing further improving.The study of verb is always the key content of modern Chinese grammar research, and has made significant fruitful results. At present, to explore the classification of verbs from the perspectiue of “contact” is not system. This article makes a preliminary discussion about the second contact Patient object and Place object verbs on my own understanding, and the further comprehensive, careful research still need to develop in the future.
