This project through research and analysis of the status quo of Nigeria's education discovered existing problems and while trying to discover the nature of these problems,came up with strategies that shall be instrumental to curbing them.The basic framework of the project is thus: The Introductory part highlights the relevance of the topic,the basis of the topic,the research methodology to be adopted and the contents of the topic.Chapter 1 introduces the background information surrounding Nigeria's Chinese language education while sieving through a brief history of the development of Nigeria's Chinese language education system and the basic perception of Nigerians of Chinese language and learning.Chapter 2 highlights Chinese educational structures and organization in place by introducing the only two Confucius Institutes situated in Nigeria.Chapter 3 focuses on the questionnaires targeted at the Nigerian educational system and its analysis.Chapter 4 proceeds to analyze the main problems of Chinese language education from the angles of education and society.Presently,either in Nigeria or in China,researches focusing on the current situation of Chinese learning in Nigeria are quite few.The researcher earnestly hopes that this modest effort might serve as a source of reference to future researchers and can assist Chinese people using Chinese language abroad to earn a living to better understand Nigeria's Chinese educational situation.It is hoped that it will also be an immense source of data to Government and the Ministry of Education and facilitate a wider spread of Chinese language and culture.
