In recent years,the number of native Chinese teachers in Nigeria has been growing slowly and continuously.In view of this trend,it is necessary to investigate and study the Chinese teaching patterns of Confucius Institutes and schools in Nigeria.In 2008,the first Confucius Institute in Nigeria was established at Namdi Azikwe University,followed by a second at Lagos University in 2009.Both Confucius Institutes are the main Chinese language training institutes in Nigeria.The courses offered by the two institutes include HSK examinations,Chinese language teacher qualification examinations,Chinese degree certificates,training of local Chinese teachers and provision of Chinese language education and Cultural and other information and advisory services,and also organized and chaired the Sino-Nepal language and cultural exchange activities.To date,about 30 secondary schools and 20 primary schools in Nigeria have offered Chinese language courses.Native Chinese teachers are the main force in the development of Chinese education in Nigeria.The present situation of native Chinese teachers has always been a topic of academic concern.Therefore,this paper investigates and studies the teaching status of native Chinese teachers in Nigeria,hoping to improve the teaching level of native Chinese teachers and improve the current situation of Chinese teaching in Nigeria.This paper makes an in-depth investigation on the teaching status of native Chinese teachers in Nigeria by the methods of questionnaire,interview,classroom observation and case analysis.On this basis,through the analysis of its existing problems,and further put forward a series of solutions to promote the development and progress of Chinese teaching in Nigeria.This paper is divided into six chapters,the first chapter is the introduction,the main content includes the research background and related literature review;the second chapter discusses the education system related to Chinese language in Nigeria;the third chapter describes in detail the investigation of the current situation of the development of native Chinese teachers in Nigeria.Chapter 4 explores in depth what led to Ni The main reasons for the poor teaching effect of Chinese teachers in Japanese schools;the fifth chapter mainlyputs forward some suggestions on how to improve the professional quality of native Chinese teachers and improve the teaching level of Chinese in Nigeria;the sixth chapter is the conclusion,and summarizes the full text.
