English Curriculum standard for General Senior High Schools(2020Revision)(hereinafter referred to as “New Curriculum Standards”)clearly points out that basic education courses implement the party's educational policies and educational ideas,and stipulate educational goals and content.It is required that all disciplines play the role of moral education.The infiltration of moral education in English teaching can better perform the fundamental task of cultivating people.Therefore,No matter from the requirement of the “New Curriculum Standards” or from the functions and purposes of English teaching,foreign language teaching should focus on the cultivation of students ' personality.How is the situation of the infiltration of moral education in English teaching? From what perspective is moral education infiltrated? And how to infiltrate it? Research on these issues will be very useful for the moral education in the English teaching.This research takes English teachers and students from three high schools in Wanzhou District as the research objects.The research adopts the approaches of the questionnaire investigation and classroom observation to collect data and adopts the text analysis to make analysis of the lesson plans of the selected three English teachers in order to explore the current situation of the infiltration of moral education in high school English teaching,and whether there are any problems with the moral education infiltration and possible reasons.Based on this,the research puts forward suggestions of improving moral education infiltration in high school English teaching.Firstly,the author randomly selects 300 students and 85 English teachers as the research objects from three high schools,collects valid statistics data and makes an analysis;Secondly,the author selects one English teacher from each of the three middle schools,and analyzes their teaching plans to know about the current status of moral education content and methods of moral education in high school English teaching.Finally,the author observes the classroom teaching of each mentioned above and obtains more real and effective data to make the analysis of the current situation of classroom teaching.The research questions are mainly the following:(1)What is the situation of the infiltration of moral education in high school English teaching?(2)Are there any improvements in the infiltration of moral education in high school English teaching?(3)How to improve the situation in high school English teaching?Through data sorting and analysis,it is found that there is still room for improvement in the infiltration of moral education in current high school English teaching,and teachers and students in the selected high schools generally accept the necessity of the infiltration of moral education in English teaching.But they believe there is still much room for improving the effect of moral education,with the content and materials of moral education insufficient,with English teachers lack of understanding of moral education concepts,and with the infiltration way unitary in English teaching.In view of the deficiencies and causes found in the investigation and research,English teachers should strengthen the study of the concept of infiltration of moral education in English teaching,normalize their own words and deeds,explore the content of moral education,and also carry out the infiltration of moral education through teaching activities such as sublimating themes,conducting discussions,exploring the essence of language phenomena,and organizing activities in English teaching.Only when the teachers and students attach importance to the infiltration of students' moral education and make sure of the methods and approaches,can the noble morality of students be formed along with the acquisitions of knowledge and cultivation of the comprehensive ability.
