This thesis is based on Translation Variation Theory and uses the former Chinese premier Wen Jiabao's speech during his visit to Howard University in 2003 as the experiment material. The author has invited 8 students studying simultaneous interpretation at Graduate School of Translation and Interpretation of Beijing Foreign Studies University to do an experiment on the influence of the 7 variation tactics of Translation Variation Theory on the interpreting of culturally-loaded expressions in Cn-En simultaneous interpreting. Through quantitative study and case study, the author comes into conclusion that in interpreting Chinese culturally-loaded expressions, the 7 variation tactics of Translation Variation Theory can improve the quality of interpretation.This thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter briefly introduces the realistic and academic significance of this study. The second chapter is literature review on Translation Variation Theory. The third chapter is the experiment and the fourth chapter is the final conclusion.
