College English Curriculum Requirements issued by Ministry of Education pointed out colleges should make full use of modern information technology to improve the teacher-oriented English teaching model and, to some extent, make English teaching and studying independent of time and place restrictions, realizing personalized learning and autonomous learning with the support of modern information and network technology. With the support of modern educational technology, a new teaching model which is called Flipped Classroom appears. In traditional classroom, the launching of teaching activities is teacher-oriented. Transfer of knowledge from teacher to student completes during the class, and the digestion and absorption of knowledge is completed by student alone after class. While in Flipped Classroom teaching model, students are the center of teaching activities. The transfer of knowledge is completed by students before class while internalization of knowledge is completed in class. This teaching model makes up for the shortcomings of traditional teaching model, providing a new direction for the reform of college English teaching.Based on the existing researches of Flipped Classroom and with the theory support of Ubiquitous Learning Theory, Mastery Learning Theory and ARCS Theory of Motivation, this study analyses the basis model of Flipped Classroom and designs a Flipped Classroom teaching model based on micro-lecture for College English curriculum, designing and making related micro-lecture, applying this model to teaching experiment. It carries out quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results of teaching experiment to verify the teaching effect of Flipped Classroom teaching model based on micro-lecture applied in college English curriculum teaching.The study shows the Flipped Classroom teaching model based on micro-lecture can promote students' learning enthusiasm for college English curriculum and stimulate interaction in class teaching, improving teaching effect of English curriculum teaching. Besides, compared with traditional teaching model, students get better scores in this model. Meanwhile, this model helps students improve autonomous learning ability and promote personalized learning.
