A Report On The Translation Of Coonardoo (Excerpted)

This is a translation report on Coonardoo which is a famous work of the Australian novelist Katharine Susannah Prichard.The translator selects chapter one,chapter two,and chapter three as translation project.Based on this project,this report aims at providing some reference approaches for translators by analyzing the difficulties met during the translation process and proposing some strategies in handling the above-mentioned difficulties.This report is composed of five chapters.Chapter one is a brief introduction,briefing the background,significance and structure of this report.Chapter two focuses on the analysis of source text and introduction to the author of this novel.Chapter three is description of translation process.Chapter four,a key chapter of this report,presents the major difficulties met in translation process and corresponding solutions with specific examples.Chapter five is a summary of what the translator has learned in translating this project and problems to be solved.
