The Culture Linguistic Study On Placenames Of Guyang County Of Baotou City

This thesis carries on the linguistics and cultural analysis of domestic village's name of author's hometown-Guyang County of inner Mongolia autonomous region. From the perspective of linguistics, I discuss the syllabic number, structure types and word usage characteristic of Chinese villages and Mongolian villages. Moreover, We can discover many different culture contents of Han Chinese and Mongolian people.Village's name serves as the language's surface layer, I attempt to discover the characters of phonetics, word formation types and dictions features of it. Study on the relationship between place names and culture is one of the important topics of culture linguistics, by researching the village's name, we can realize the history and culture of it which we cannot learn from books. So, this thesis focus on discuss the culture which is deposited in the village'name. In addition, this thesis also referring the problem of management and standardization of place names. Briefly, on the basis of field survey and data collection, I am trying to find out the law of linguistics of Chinese village's name and Mongolian village's name and explore the relationship between village's name and their cultures, then as a contribution to this topic.
