Folktales are crystals of a national's thoughts and culture, as well as encyclopaedia of nation life. They reflect the understanding of a nation about the world and themselves. Therefore, studying folktales is a good way to know of a national world prospect and reveal their thinking. Aiming at establishing social world prospect in Russian and Chinese folktales, this paper uses concept analysis, social and historical analysis, deduction, and induction to conduct analysis on large amount of Russian and Chinese folktales.The paper composes of four chapters: Introduction, Main Body, Epilogue, and Bibliography.Chapter One is Introduction.Chapter Two is theories about language world prospect, introducing the concepts of “world prospect theory” and “language world prospect theory”, as well as their relations, and making sure of the research method of language world prospect — Concept Analytical Approach.Chapter Three is social prospect in Russian Folktales. Firstly, the concept of “society” is researched in Russian encyclopedia, detailed annotation, etymology, and sociology dictionary. And then, based on Russian folktales, social features of Russian stratum are analyzed.Chapter Four is social prospect in Chinese Folktales. First of all, the concept of “society” is researched in Chinese encyclopedia, detailed annotation, etymology, and sociology dictionary. And then, based on Chinese folktales, social features of Chinese stratum are analyzed.Chapter Five is comparison between Russian and Chinese folktales, and sums up the social and cultural reasons for the discrepancies between Russian and Chinese folktale social prospect.Epilogue, on the basis of the above four chapters, sums up and generalizes practical significance of social world prospect of Russian and Chinese folktales.This paper first uses concept theories to conduct comparative research on social prospect of Russian and Chinese folktales, and exerts positive significance on strengthening the understanding of Russian history, culture and national spirit.
