In recent years, as China is maintaining remarkable advance in its development, around the world set off a craze for learning Chinese, many Chinese language programs is growing sharply, such as THE "CHINESE BRIDGE" and "Dictation Assembly of Chinese Characters", more and more countries began to attach importance to learning Chinese. Language is the carrier of culture, and also is an important part of culture. Chinese learning is not only learning pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and Chinese characters, more important is to make students understand the spirit of the Chinese nation's culture in five thousand years, language teaching should be combined with culture. Chinese culture extensive and profound, rich and colorful, as the important carrier of cultural inheritance, classical novel include the rich Chinese cultural elements, especially the essence of the Chinese traditional culture, if introducing classical novel into teaching Chinese as a foreign language, it can make more help to learners learning language and Chinese culture. This paper choose Journey to the West is one of China's four greatest master pieces as a demonstration example, this article aims to explore the feasibility and applicability to introducing classical novel into teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper mainly researches the applied study of Chinese classical novel Journey to the West for culture teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. This paper is divided into four main parts: the first part mainly discusses the significance of introducing Chinese classical novel Journey to the West into teaching Chinese as a foreign language from three aspects------ classical novel in the important position of the Chinese culture, Chinese culture of the Journey to the West and its teaching function in culture teaching of teaching Chinese as foreign language; The second part mainly researches Chinese classical novel Journey to the West's teaching position in culture teaching of teaching Chinese as foreign language, include teaching position, how to teaching and the basis of selection in teaching content; The third part is the practice of the Journey to the West in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, we design the specific teaching case, research the Chinese culture of the Journey to the West through the specific teaching; The forth part mainly discusses the teaching effect to detect of trial teaching the classical title of the Journey to the West, thus proved the feasibility of the application of classical novel in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
