The Preliminary Study On The Bronze Culture In The Shang Dynasty To Warring States Period In Ganpo Area

Bronze ware is one of the most important symbols of the origin of Chinese civilization, and it plays a vital role in exploring the origin of Chinese civilization and the study of Pre-Qin Dynasty culture. The Chinese bronze ware culture early originates in the Yellow River Basin about 6000 or 7000 BC,blooming in Shang Dynasty. The Chinese bronze wares are famous for its various forms,elaborate decorations,rich inscriptions and lofty skills in the world.In recent years,with the progress of archaeological work of South, archaeologists found Sanxingdui,Ningxiang,Xingan and Tunxi are representatives of Shang and Zhou Dynasty culture center which unearthed plenty of bronze wares. The excavation of Jiangxi Wucheng ruins is particularly important, because it overthrows the view that "Shang culture cannot surpass the Yangtze River". Wucheng ruins are representative of Jiangxi GanPo area which unearthed of a large number of bronze ware wares from Shang Dynasty Warring States Period,forming unique characteristics of the bronze ware culture.The thesis is based on various archaeological excavations and research materials, using archaeological typology,culture analysis etc to analyze important and typical ruins of bronze wares in Ganpo area in detail,exploring the distribution of regularities,development and characteristics of bronze ware from Shang Dynasty to Battle age. Ganpo area bronze wares are mainly distributed in the Ganjiang River and western Poyang Lake. In Western Zhou Dynasty, the boundary is between the Ganjiang River and the Poyang Lake. Yong Zhong which is representative of bronze ware instruments distributes in the west,and Tripod which is representative of bronze ware vessels distributes in the east. Bronze ware mainly concentrated on tombs which is different from those which scattered irregularly in Western Zhou Dynasty.External cultural factors play an important role in the process of formation and development of bronze ware culture of Ganpo area. The bronze ware culture of the Central Plains region and neighboring areas, such as bronze ware culture of Shang,Zong Zhou, Hunan, Fujian and Ning town area which contributed to the update and evolution of the bronze ware culture of Ganpo area.
