There are more and more Adult- short term Chinese training classes in foreign countries. With the growing of this group, how to teach the adult short-term training in Chinese, how to improve the learning efficiency, it's a big problem and become more and more important.This paper writing mainly according to the writer worked as an intern in the Confucius Institute of the Tamatave University in Madagascar. The adult short-term training class in the Confucius Institute of the Tamatave University is the paper's research object. It is according to comparative the difference with the college Chinese teaching and a concrete analysis. It found some characteristics of adult short-term training in Chinese teaching. Such as the teaching time is short and fluctuations, the teaching object is complex, the whole of teaching is flexible, and the teaching goal and the teaching important points must have been on learners' practical needs.According to the actual situation of the training course teaching object is divided into two classes. They are active class and passive class. In this paper, the teaching design for the active class, teacher should according to the learners' learning ability and their interest to choose appropriate teaching content and activities, and focus on training their language skills and teaching them the practical communication strategy; For those passive learners, firstly teacher should strengthen the communication with them, and knowing their views about China; teaching the learners which they care about, for example, the topic which most closely with their daily life; teaching through lively activities; organizing a variety of traditional cultural activities. The most important of all is foster their interest in learning Chinese.
