Under the traditional English teaching model, teachers play a dominating role in the process of teaching, and mostly students accept knowledge passively. Furthermore, teachers usually focus on the instruction of words, sentences and grammar instead of the cultivation of English pragmatic ability, in the class taking English as the foreign language. The program teaching design is born with the robust development of information technologies such as the Internet and multi-media, in which the online media technology is its media. The present study is to explore rich online resources and digital information technology, applied in English pragmatic teaching. It adopts the explicit teaching approach to instruct English pragmatic knowledge, promoting English pragmatic consciousness, cultivating the language internalization and output capability so as to enhance learners' inter-language pragmatic capacity.This study introduces the research background and motivation, sketching out the research aims, research questions and research methodology. It reviews, collects and conducts relevant researches both at home and abroad, including explicit teaching, inter-language pragmatics and online teaching method and communicative teaching method. Through sketching out the hypothesis theory, input and output, interaction theory and construction theory, this study provides relevant theoretical framework and research perspectives. We analyze the relevant experimental data by applying online resources and platform in the design and practice in the spoken classes of IELTS. Finally, this study demonstrates the emergency and limitation of establishing inter-language pragmatic teaching model based on network.The present study is on the basis of online information, applying English online resources in the teaching design of pragmatic knowledge, and conducting relevant teaching experiment. Experimental results indicate that the explicit pragmatic teaching based on network can promote pragmatic knowledge, help enhance pragmatic learners' consciousness, reduce pragmatic negative immigration and pragmatic errors. As a result, it develops learners' inter-language pragmatic capacity. The research results reveal the merits of inter-language pragmatic teaching and its further practical meaning of English pragmatic teaching under the online circumstance.
