To Explore Chinese Mythological Painting

It has a long history of Chinese mythic culture,which spread through the ages mostly because of the existence of the art of painting.Thus,paintings related to mythological themes appeared in various dynasties.They record the origin,development,and the function of mythology throughout the history of China.And the development process and ideological change of painting can be seen through these paintings.Wei-Jin South and North Dynasty is an era of a connecting link between the preceding and the following of mythology.It is also a period of an epoch of painting.Therefore,we will be focused on the mythological painting art of Wei-Jin South and North Dynasty.The artistic characteristics,artistic achievement,creative subject of painting and the impact on future generations of painting art will be discussed thoroughly.The first chapter of this paper is an overview.The definition of "myth",the sense of time during Wei-Jin South and North Dynasty will be introduced.It also discussed the relationship between the theme and the mythic theme and the relationship between mythology and painting.The second chapter discussed the development of Chinese mythology painting.Then the mythological painting works are discussed and summarized before and after the Wei-Jin South and North Dynasty.The third chapter focused on the impact on political,economic and culture of painting.The creative subject and its expression of the main representative works are analyzed in detail.The fourth chapter discussed from the painting plot and the form of painting language and the artistic features of Wei-Jin South and North Dynasty.The fifth chapter discussed the influence of mythology painting on the future generation of Wei-Jin South and North Dynasty,not only the influence on the painting itself,but also on other disciplines.In the end,the key and motivation of this paper is described.We would like to learn something on one hand,on the other hand,would like to provide some useful information for artistic painting through the systematic research.
