With the development of the international trade and commerce, an increasing number of businessmen are willing to go abroad to look for new business opportunities and to exploit new economic field, which is welcomed by foreign governments and can lead to the win-win situation. The second Mozambique-Swaziland International Trade and Investment Forum arose in line with this trend. The forum was held on June 12 th, 2015 in Zhengzhou. The author was invited as the interpreter of this forum to serve for Mr. Manguele, the first secretary of Mozambique embassy in China, who was also the honored guest of the forum. The procedures of the forum included the speech-delivery by Mr. Manguele and the leaders of the Sino-Mozambique business bridge, the introduction of resources of Mozambique by a staff of Sino-Mozambique business bridge, and the Q&As of the attendants. Because of the length limits, the author takes the speech-delivery of Mr. Manguele and the introduction of resources of Mr. Jianhong as the sample for the report. The accent of Mr. Manguele and the interpretation for Mozambique specialties are the problems that the author has been confronted with. What's more, since there is no pause during the introduction of the resources, the speech speed of the spokesman was difficult to be caught up with for the interpreter, which led to the deficiency of the interpretation. The Interpretive Theory has been adopted to guide the interpreting procedures. This theory focuses more on the integrity and consistency of the meaning instead of literal translation. Correlative methods such as literary translation, syntactic linearity, reversion, omission have been employed to complete the interpreting task. The report consists of four parts, in which the author has illustrated what the interpreting task is, how to prepare and deal with the task, the interpreting case studies as well as the reflection upon the task. While having finished the interpretation task, the author introspected the shortages and recalled the difficulties that have been met. Through the whole process of the interpretation, the author realizes good preparation and reserve of knowledge will make an interpreter more competent. There are many shortages during the interpretation process of the author, such as the pretermission for the information and the monotonous usage of the vocabularies in the process of interpretation. The author has come to the awareness that while increasing her knowledge reserve, she should make more interpretation practice to enhance her translation and interpretation skills and improve herself.
