Bahasa Indonesia is the national language of convergence in Indonesia, in the Indonesian language, in addition to the national language many other words from different language were borrowed into a part of the language, of which the most obvious is the Hokkien dialect. Although Bahasa Indonesia is the official language of the country, but the use of this language os not so much. The reason is that there are more than 700 different languages use in Indonesia. Chinese and indigenous Indonesian have different skin color and custom, they are obviously two different ethnic groups. The majority Chinese speak Mandarin which is a part of Sino-Tibetan language family and Indonesians speak Bahasa Indonesia which belongs to Austronesian language family. Although the two nations have very different aspects, but the peoples lived together in peace most of the historical period. One of the reasons is that the Chinese have come to Indonesia to find ways and means to make a living rather than to establish a colony.In terms of dishes or cuisines, technology, culture and languages, it is not hard to find traces of Chinese influences in all aspect of Indonesia. In these terms, we can determine the mutual influence of China and Indonesia within the time. Due to historical, economical and social factors, the Indonesian language borrowed Hokkien dialect vocabulary phenomenon is most obvious. According to the survey, Hokkien and Indonesia borrowed vocabulary including nouns, verbs, adjectives, quantifiers, adverbs, etc., most of the proportion of nouns, and most are related to daily lives. This is because of ethnic Chinese Indonesian are from the southern region, and they now have a close friendship with native Indonesia.The first chapter of this thesis is the introduction, mainly to introduces the background and significance, research propose, research status and research ideas and methods. The second chapter is the development process of loan words in Bahasa Indonesia, mainly to introduce the history of the loan words into the Indonesian language, the reason to absorption of loan words, the form and structure, classification and characteristic of the loan words. The third chapter is the ways that Hokkien words had been taken as loan words in Bahasa Indonesia and their methods and classification of assimilation. Mainly to introduce the use of loan words and their quantity, method and classification. The forth chapter is the range of usage of Hokkien loan words in Bahasa Indonesia, their gradual development and change due to the Indonesian influence. Mainly to introduce the use of the scope of southern Min loan words accepted in the process of development and change due to Indonesian influence.The title of the thesis is "Research of Hokkien's Influence in Indonesian Language" which largely deals about Hokkien's influence on Indonesian language and also relates the history of communication between Chinese and Indonesian people. This thesis aims to explore the comprehensive Hokkien loan words in modern Indonesian language. Confirms the traditional friendship and long history between China and Indonesia. I also hope it could help to improve mutual understanding between Chinese and Indonesian,and grasp this historical opportunity of developing with One Belt One Road Initiative.
