| Feng Zikai (1898-1975) was a well-known cartoonist, litterateur, and fine arts educationalist. The principle of his life was to enrich others interests, he left rich and valuable thoughts of art education for the future generations while engaging in art activities. The purpose of this report would provide some useful inspiration for the distorted contemporary generation by expressing and explaining the essence of Feng's art education.In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the main part includes 3 chapters.The first chapter will explore and analyse the incentives and achievements of Feng's art education. It includes the enlightenment of art, the choice of art and the persistence of art. This part of the analysis will be based on Feng's life experience, mentorship and social relationships. The artistic atmosphere of Feng's family and the culture of his hometown altogether inspire his soul and spirit of art. Feng was directed by the personality of Li Shutong, benevolence and righteousness of Xia Gaizun and free and easy attitude of Ma Yifu. The hardwork and hardships experienced in the period of Culture Revolution reveals his perseverance to the persistence of art.The second chapter will analyse the principles of Feng's art education, which consists of 3 parts:childishness, art and religion.The third section will explain the execution and inspiration of Feng's art education. First of all, it will introduce the art activities of Feng, and then it will explain the significance of art education. He is a great father in the family, an innovative teacher at school, a wise educationist in society, and an interesting literati in normal life. As a bridge leading to the emotional world, art helps people to enjoy their own unique world. The life of Feng represents what is an artistic life and lively art. |
