Commercial Youth Utopia-the "New BeiJing" In Zhao Baogang's Youth Idol Play

Youth idol drama is an important type of TV series,It has a broad spread of power and influence.Since 1990,China began to enter the exploratory stage of youth idol drama creation.In 2005,domestic youth drama began localization transformation,emerged a number of outstanding idol dramas.In which the director Zhao Baogang created Beijing as the geographical background of youth idol attracted wide attention and become an example of domestic youth idol transformation.Director Zhao Baogang directed of Beijing as the geographical background of idol works become a window to recognize Beijing,interpret Beijing everyday social life for the audience.In previous research on Zhao Baogang`s film and television works,no attention to the relations between the Zhao Baogang`s idol works and construction of Beijing city image or city's image spreading.In this paper,the authors use text analysis,data analysis,comparative research methods to expand the research of the Population,daily life style,urban character and many other aspects of New Beijing presented by Zhao Baogang`s idol works which in the geographical background of Beijing.The author make attention to a huge difference of the “new Beijing” in Zhaobaogang`s idol works that compared with the "old Beijing" presented by the Beijing school literary or film works formerly.Ultimately,the author concluded that the New Beijing in youth idol drama directed by Zhao Baogang is a commercial youthful utopia.This depicts about New Beijing is morn imagination of city by Middle class urban,it is narrow to some extent.But those idol works show the demographic characteristics of the new Beijing and new Beijing daily life from multiple dimensions and many levels,it is also Important text for Beijing urban studies.Whether from the creation of domestic youth idol or the level of TV drama sociological,they are worthy of our in-depth thinking and research.
