As a new technology of psychological intervention, Written Expression through disclosure and express personal through disclosure and express personal thoughts on their important experiences and feelings, in order to promote mental health.Compared with traditional treatment, the written expression, with its confidentiality,initiative, simple, convenient and cost-effective advantages is gradually accepted by the public. When positive psychology in the development of concepts, such as optimism and happiness, to write the positive content as the theme of written expression has also become the main trend of such research.Among the groups participating in the Written Expression, middle school students who are in their critical period to shape personality is particularly striking.They are in puberty stage, it has not yet formed a complete outlook on life and values,such as timely process to guide them to express optimism and other positive content.Timely guide them to express positive feelings through the process of writing, and gradually develop their positive attitude plays a vital role to improve their mental health and happiness.This research takes the middle-school student as the object of study, by using the combined method of psychological test method and experimental method, analysis whether Written Expression on optimistic theme can increase the happiness of middle school students.The research result will provide the theory and the practice basis for the written expression in the school psychologically healthy education application.This research draws the following conclusion:There was a significant positive correlation between middle school student's optimism and happiness(including subjective well-being and psychological well-being),and students' level of optimism can be a good predictor of their happiness level.Written expression of the theme of optimism can effectively improve the level of optimism and happiness of middle school students.Written expression is an effective way to promote mental health and well-being of middle school students,and the results of this study may express the intervention techniques of Written Express to provide theoretical and practical basis in school mental health education efforts, so as to prevent and reduce of students' psychological health problems. It will also facilitate middle school students to enhance thewell-being and the harmonious development of body and mind.
