Su Shi is a great master in the history of Chinese literature and art. He made great contributions in the field of literature, calligraphy,paintings, etc. As the NO.1 of the famous "Song sijia" Calligraphic Group,Su Shi is not only good at the writing of calligraphy,but also formed his own calligraphy theory.All he has done vigorously promoted the level of calligraphic art in Song dynasty.Nowadays,there are so many researches about the calligraphy of Su Shi, but not deep enough in the calligraphy of the unique aesthetic value and historical significance. In this paper, based on the research achievements of predecessors’ breadth, making calligraphy aesthetic as the breakthrough point, to explore Su Shi’s calligraphy works and calligraphy esthetics thought.The first chapter is to dividing the stages of Su Shi’s calligraphy. According to the different styles of calligraphy works, combined with the ups and downs of his political career, divide the creation of his rise period, flourishing period and stability period, and combined with typical appearances of each period.The second chapter is the analysis of the aesthetic characteristics of Su Shi’s calligraphy.To feel the real feeling of shock in his " Huang Zhou Han Shi Tie". To feel the intellectual spirits in works named "Zhi Ping Tie" "Dong Ting Chun Se Fu" "Zhong Shan Song Lao Fu". To enjoy full-bodied elegant of language in the "Ji Huang Jidao Wen" "Man Ting Fang Tie" "Huo Jian Tie" "Zhi Shi Tie".The third chapter is a study of esthetics thought of Su Shi’s calligraphy, mainly along the theory of Shang Yi, the joining together of Confucianism, Buddhism, the view of literature and calligraphy accommodation. Su Shi will Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, unity and into their life experience, formed a rich and profound aesthetic spirit. In testimonies from a new idea, advocate it is natural for the core of new style. Analyze calligraphy with poems, with lines on his own aesthetic view and put into practice,.In this way he made great achievements.The fourth chapter is a study of the acceptance and influence of Su Shi’s calligraphy include propagation during the period of the Song dynasty, and the acceptance and evaluation during the later time.At the end of this chapter,I made a form to list the collection situation of Su Shi’s calligraphy.
