Research On Implement Style Of Yucheng Kiln In Ningbo Zhejiang

In the context of Yixing purple clay at the late Qing Dynasty, Yucheng kiln which built in the Emperor Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty thriving in Cixi Ningbo City. The purple clay in Yucheng kiln not only inherits the stlye of Chen Mansheng, Ziyi, Zhujian and so on, and combined with the aesthetic preferences of the literati's participation, create many interesting and meaningful style such as teapot, flowerpot, brushpot, water jet, ink box, color box, bottle,go box, bowl and so on. Their modelling is simple, elegant, strong literator and admired by the later generations.This paper selects extant represent part of Yucheng kiln's implements, distinguish different styles from creation time, size, inscriptions, participants, source, mud and other several points,appendix list analysis. Comparing and analysing the representative of the styles of Yucheng kiln with Mansheng, Ziyan or other purple clay of Yixing kiln's similar objects style. Discuss the common and different points, development, and the advantages and disadvantages of the styles.Finally capture several innovation styles of Yucheng kiln, try to analyze and introduces the main features of its shape and shape from the source, and Yucheng kiln implements modelling characteristics on the later development of purple clay wares significance.
