The original propose of this paper is to find out whether we can establish a teaching model which contains the combination of Chinese Language Teaching and Chinese Culture Teaching. Therefore,considering the content and target in the lesson “Travel in Chinese”,and my survery about Teaching Effectiveness in Lesson “ Travel in Chinese”, I believed Chinese Placename Teaching is entry poin to study the combination of international students' Chinese Language and Culture Teacheing. Chinese Placename Teaching, based on the relationship among “ Chinese Placename, Chinese Character, Chinese Culture”, can merge Chinese Character Teaching and Chinese Culture Teaching naturally. This paper discussed how to organize teaching content, how to overcome difficulties in learning Chinese character by learing Chinese placename, and how to initiate Chinese culture teaching in Chiese Placename teaching. What's more, I implemented teaching experiments based on the teaching material I compiled. The Result showed that teaching Chinese placename will improve the memory of Chinese character and realization of Chinese culture. To sum up, Chinese palcename Teaching not only enhances the effectiveness of learning“Travel in Chinese”, but also helps achieving the unification of Chinese Character Teaching and Culture Teacheing.
