Research On Visibility And Invisibility Of Ink And Wash Elements In Visual Design

Ink and wash elements carry essence of Chinese art formed in long history.As an important form of presentation in traditional arts of China,it not only has smooth and graceful visual forms,but also contains humanistic spirit of the Chinese nation for several thousand years.In recent years,it has been widely applied in the field of visual design.Visual forms and humanistic spirit should be integrated perfectly by excellent visual designs with ink and wash elements,which is qualified with both form and spirit.However,only a few visual designs with ink and wash elements are equipped with both form and sprit at present,while in most designs,ink and wash graphics are simply used to shape image.So,they cannot express self-evident sprit and artistic conception,as history,culture,spirit and other values of ink and wash elements are not widely focused on or understood by designers,the value and potential of ink and wash elements are not fully played.This paper also develops potentials of ink and wash elements comprehensively.Based on various problems of current ink and wash elements in visual designs like mechanical application,sameness and mutual copying,this paper traces the roots of ink and wash elements,recognizes their sources,development and heritage,explores the features of ink and wash elements in contemporary visual designs,deeply understands image presentation forms and concept presentation forms of ink and wash elements,analyzes dialectical unification relations of visible patterns with invisible conception carried in ink and wash elements,and deeply digs visual presentation forms and traditional cultural spirit of ink and wash elements.By conducting specific and complete analysis on excellent visual designs with ink and wash elements,this paper faces its developing bottlenecks directly,comprehensively interprets new developing trend of contemporary designs with ink and wash elements and provides more sufficient and comprehensive theoretical basis for application of ink and wash elements.With improvement to international status of China,Chinese making is gradually evolved into Chinese creation and the improvement of innovation ability of the nation has been placed on agenda.As a potential stock of traditional Chinese culture,ink and wash elements have quite broad developing prospects and potential under the trend of supporting revitalization of traditional culture.It will also obtain unprecedented opportunities under new historical conditions.
